Air Niugini is among the organizations attending the three-day PNG Business Investment Conference, which commenced today, Monday, 9th December, in Sydney, Australia. The conference focuses on the status of the energy and resource sectors in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and aims to promote investment opportunities to a global audience.
Prime Minister, Hon James Marape, officially launched the event this morning, providing an overview of the current and future outlook of PNG's energy and resource sectors. He encouraged potential investors to take advantage of opportunities in the country, assuring full government support for those who have invested and the future investors.
The conference has attracted 1,800 attendees, marking the largest turnout in recent years. Investors from countries such as the US, Sweden, Italy, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Solomon Islands are also in attendance, reflecting the global interest in PNG’s economic growth.
Air Niugini’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Gary Seddon, will deliver a presentation on the national airline's future outlook, with a focus on its ongoing fleet transition program and investment in modern aircraft.
The conference is being held at the Sydney Convention Centre and will conclude on Wednesday, 11th December.
